I’m a gun owner moving to California. What laws do I need to be aware of?

I am a proud owner or 2 shotguns of the caliber of antiques 12 (a doesn 't fire just a Heirloom) 1 20 measures the shotgun, a pair of .22 rifles and a .22 revolver. Remain in a locked wooden cabinet. Most are gifts and have already passed? guns from relatives and would secure, legally and properly maintain them for hunting. When moving, what should I be informed? Did you have access to guns when you were young?

Another person asked the question here about the danger of firearms to a child in the house. I had to "go back in time" in my mind and remember the day my own very young. My father had a gun in the locker (no locks on it) into the lair where I used to play as much boy. The guns were there, in normal view, however, I learned that I was not allowed near the thing. I have a memory of anything wrong with my start, but I don 't recall what my parents have said or done assicurarseli did not approach all'armadietto ever. question about rust on a gun?

I just received my dad 'the model 94 .30 -. 30 Winchester s to be used for deer this field. He kept a gun cabinet with some of the other guns but it 's not to the humidity controlled so the gun had a little rust that I could see. All the way completely dissassembled the thing up and the interior parts are great considering this gun has been made in 1973. But the outside, the burnishing has very little points of rust if you appear to close under a lamp. I clean the inside and outside (total work of 6hrs), but the wells are still there. Anyone who knows rid of the wells? I 'm I 'sure, the ll must take part in it and still revealing and reblue it.
